As you know, Eddie has been staying with us for a week, whilst nursery is closed for staff holidays. His Mum and Dad took him to Sandwich in Kent for a couple of days, in a lovely place right on the beach and then came up here on the Saturday. Ed seemed to know that he was coming to us for some holidays and was absolutley fine staying and telling Nanny and Gandad what to do and where to go(?).

Lots to explore

 OK, found a ball

Handstand practice

Impressive dribbling

Tough Regime here...Morning sports warm up with star jumps

More to follow over the next couple of days.

I did find his Cotadvisor feedback :

Location : Excellent with easy access to the wonderful Peaks and many National Trust and Historic homes. But I'm not interested in any of that, however it is handy for the park and playground / the leisure centre play time and an impressive church clock that goes Bong...Bong etc etc. I asked to see this many times and the staff seemed happy to take me to wait for the chime time. I did take afternoon tea in Waitrose, which also has some good treats. The self scanning guns are good fun, although Gandad has to check that I haven't scanned anyone elses shopping.

Sleep Quality : I need a bigger bed now, although I was eventually allowed to sleep in the staff bed. It took me a couple of days to get this sorted out with them, but they saw sense in the end. They seemed a bit dozy at 1.00am. On requesting ( demanding ) a nightlight, one was quickly provided.

Rooms : I was pleased to find that toys were available in most rooms, including my bedroom.

Service : Occasionally tardy but acceptable. my requests for the staff to come to the room where I was, or to take me here or there were normally met, although not as quickly as I requested sometimes. The food was pretty good and the choice was excellent, even though I didn't avail myself of the full menu. My tastes are simple : Honey Toast, Rice Krispies, Vegemite, Pasta, Parmesan, Eggs, Pizza, Fish.
The chef failed to meet my request for Pasta for breakfast one day, but I settled for some toast in the end. I did try for ice cream, another day, but that failed as well.
Ice cream in a cone ( to my exact specification ) was served on the lawn and the "hundreds and thousands" available for repeat dippings. Actually it was the toppings that I wanted in the main.

Value : The staff wouldn't hear of me settling my account. They needn't think that would, on it's own, buy them a good review though.

Cleanliness : Even though I tried to create toy chaos every day, it was mainly tidied away for the next morning. This may have slipped a bit towards the end of the week.

Summary : Recommended at 4.5 stars. It would have been 5, if the breakfast pasta and ice cream request had been met
