Trying a Video + Oulton Park last weekend

Eddie having dinner at our place. We had been out sitting in all the cars he could find, and had a great time. He was upset the next day that he couldn't drive the car to the station to head home with Mum.
He has a liking for bananas, but only if they still have the skin on. If you cut them up on a plate, then they are apparently ruined!

Good grief. A surprise egg toy that still works.

Petis Filous....is one ever enough?

Saturday was a Thundersport Bike Meet at Oulton Park. Our usual parking spot with JC arriving in the Vantage.

Some excellent racing with big grids and some commited riders. With Pat buying me a season ticket, I have recently re discovered bike meetings. Also a great chance for playing with the new camera.

An interesting approach to keeping the tyres warm!

Accelerating out of Old Hall corner. This is Jenny Tinmouth. Every lap she was really on it and took a well deserved 2nd win of the day.

Back into the bread making now and have a good Sourdough "Mother" on the go. Made these earlier in the week to go with the Asparagus Soup, made with the last of the British Asapragus. ANother starter is on the bubble tonight, to make a larger loaf for the weekend.

Ah well. Just made this post as an update and to also try uploading a short vid of Ed. Still experimenting here.

First Post to Kick it Off

Welcome to Gandads TR. So named after my G(r)andsons wonderful obsession with his Gandfathers Classic car. He had a model of it in his bedroom and it's the always referred to in his phone calls and "FaceTime" chats.
The Header Photo is of Pat and I on the HRCR NEWS run. Pat is navigating with Tulip diagrams whilst I am wondering why the first lane that we come to says " Unsuitable for Cars ".

Above is Eddie driving the car in the garage. As he often says....My TR

He wasn't keen with me switching on the Tripmeter. Driver in charge, and he wanted it just so. "Don't worry about co driving, just let me do my own thing"

I do refer to the fact that it's the ramblings of a Gandfather with an oven as well. This is the Focaacia made over the weekend to Hughs Everyday recipe. My first time making it with olives ....Note to self needs more olives!

Ed has a car that we keep for him and one that he can"drive". Over the weekend he was off to the shops to buy Kinder Eggs for us and also he got Gandad some Fish and Chips.
Not as exciting as the TR, but at least he can get some grip with his feet.

He has discovered his Uncle Robs collection of Micro machines, with the help of Nanny. With the aircraft ones, he can name more of them than me. Impressive knowledge of Aviation history.
I wish they still made and sole these. Now mainly available on Ebay.
These are Uncle Robs, so they have to live here.

This is the TR at the Tatton Park Classic Car show in May. The club stand won an award again, probably due to the intricate parking instructions that align all cars perfectly.
The club should also win award for dedication to the show. We normally have 20 plus TR's in attendance, ranging from TR2 to TR7 - Of course the TR4 is my favourite, although I could very happily live with a TR3A as well!
