So C, D and E are now established in their Victorian Double Fronter.
A great house from around 1880 with plenty of space and plenty of work to be done from Garden to house. It has had a fair bit spent on it over the years and is pretty well maintained in many places. The trick will be to keep the Victorian appeal, along with the features that people look for and improve it.
7 chimneys, all swept between moving in and Christmas ( it's surprising how interested a sweep can be when you mention 7 chimneys ). They have also found a place near a chimney where some water is getting in and hopefully will be able to fix it quickly.
I'm told that no Victorian Chimney boys fell out of the fireplaces during cleaning, but some had a fair bit of rubbish come out - lack of use. They have already had a couple of fires in the "Snug" room.
Eddie is very happy in his new home and wanders around it ( and runs around it ) very happily. Stairs are no problem for a former flat dweller and he loves his new room
No photos of C&D's room as I was told by C that it wasn't ready for photography yet.
So just a few for now
Not a Victorian Gandad but late Georgian and in need of restoration.
Ed helping with Birthday presents - an unusual birthday as new locks and an alarm were being fitted.
In the evening we had a great Pizza and Ed demolished a choc cake and babychino. Choc cake was shared out very well, as he always does with sweets and treats - "'ere you go Gandad"

Davey in mission control. Probably making Daddy Crosissants with the new press. Having tried this out over Christmas, I want one! I'm in Panini denial.

The "Snug" with shutters
After Hackney parking I was amazed to luck into a space outside the house
Davey has a driveway now which will be much improved when the garage is removed.
That will not be hard as it appears to be pre cast and isn't bonded into the house brickwork
View down the street
The two houses
Another street view
Ed helping - there are times when I need a flash
Bit of work here....there is an old pond ( drained ) at the back
At sometime the back of the house was painted. Needs a chemical peel
Bit of work here in the jungle

This will be a challenge, but Davey does have his new loppers

It's a lovely place and the town has much going for it. No doubt after a few months, the locals will see that there is a market for a specialist wine shop and a real ale purveyor. Still, it does have a Waitrose, so I would be happy.
and finally a photo of Ed by our tree that I just found
