Lovely sunny weekend a couple of weeks ago - we went to our local Little Moreton Hall and had a walk across the fields and then a look around the hall - again!
Plus, of course, the obligatory cuppa in the garden. Can't believe that this is the first time we have used our NT cards this year. Must do better next year.

This is the view up to Mow Cop and the folly

The upsydownsy walk through the gallery. It went like this early in its life, after the stone tiling was added - heavy stuff. See the photos of the roof.

Lovely place to visit and still standing! This will be familiar to some. All Aus visits include this one!

Ed and Cars

Eddie loves to play on his own with Uncle Robs car models and micro machines.
Engine sounds are made with much brmmming from his lip engine

Problem with Gandads Brrrmmmm engine. Turn it off Gandad

We took him for his first visit to Oulton Park for a day out and to see some racing machines
As you can tell, he was beside himself with excitement when we arrived. Just to be sure Nanny didn't shirk her responsibilities, he wouldn't let go of her hand.

Ed quite liked the Karts and nodded when I asked if he would like to drive one.
"But not with a helmet" he said

Picking up Acorns under one of the massive Oaks

Acorns again

Ed currently likes climbing up onto things himself. This includes his car seat, which can add a good 5 minutes to any journey, whilst he scales the North face of the Merc.

Oulton have now included a Kids playground and some chainsaw sculptures.
When he eventually got up there, he enjoyed this one

Full lip engine mode...Brrrrmmmm
Just check if I'm in danger of being overtaken

Lip Engine has been running for a while now. May have developed a small leak...

Gandad wanted a go, but he doesn't know how to drive a tree trunk

Chisrs were out for a bit of refreshment. Forget it Gandad. Miiiine

Ed updating his cot advisor report.

Update To CA report

Sleeping :
This did include a some time in the staff bed. However I mainly requested that a staff member ( Nanny ) sat outside my room whilst I considered sleep. I found that lulling her into a false sense of security and then suddenly saying something, was a good test. However staff passed this section with flying colours.

Food
Whilst there was the odd item missing on the menu, it was mainly to a good standard. Staff ( Nanny ) also went the extra mile by making me star and christmas tree shaped toast and honey. She may have considered this a mistake as I can get through a lot of stars and trees over the week. One good point on recycling though, they seemed ok with eating the crusts. I do hope they get some time for their own meals as well.

Summary
Overall they remain attentive and meet my "simple" needs. Gandad needs to remember not to try joining in with his engine sometimes.
I did try and catch them out by saying that I wanted the other staff member now and again. They seemed to twig this fairly quickly though and I had to put up with what I got.

Rating unchanged...but only to keep them on their toes.

Tree and Star toast with a Red Arrows mug
ALthough he doesn't need this chair, he seems to like being up higher and looking everyone in the eye.
ALso you can get loads of cars and a gong on as well.

To get into a boiled egg, I sometimes need starting

Zapping in Waitrose. I can be a bit wayward with this.....sometimes I add things and sometimes I remove things....

Walking back from the park - he managed a long way

a Few more from Oulton
Whassssaaaat...

From little acorns..

Tow trucks are even more interesting

One of the reasons I love this place. It's a great parkland and you can walk for a long way
