On the Friday C brought MrE up to Sandbach to stay for a week and so that she and D could take a brief hotel break.

It was the weekend of Sandbach Transport Festival and so there were events in the park and around the town....along with a funfair. I used to take the TR down to this but it is far too busy now with people coming from miles around.

Ed seemed quite keen to go down to the park...and then very keen. He loved it!

First up the BIG slide which looked very appealing to a 4 year old

Long climb

Quick Slide

Then the Bouncy Castle

Then the remote Control Cars

Despite declaring " I can do it " Grandad helped with the throttle.
Towards the end of the session he asked "which one is mine "

Roundabouts were fun. Think he wants a Harley

Ice Creams featured during the week. Luckily we had some lovely weather to go with them.
This one is Bubble Gum ( Daddies favourite )

This one had sprinkles

Another roundabout

Another bounce or two

He even found time to look at the birds of prey.
Seemed to enjoy looking at them and wanted to see the flying demonstration

Sharing a bit of cake on his finger with Mummy

He even got involved with making Home Made Ice Cream  ( Just a taste as he had some earlier ).
he is very sensible and says if he has had enough or if it should be saved for later.

Fire Engines ( some used to be made in Sandbach and I even purchased one from here when I was working...and yes I did get to drive a Fire Engine )

 Potential new bath toy

and most exciting of all for Ed (?).....he had  a hair cut from our friend Bev

Miss E Update

Miss E is thriving and Growing fast. These are a few photos from the last weeks.
Sleeping is still a challenge, but getting better.

She has now learnt the art of the smile and we get to see this on cue with her regular Face time calls.
We last saw her just before Easter and when we see the video calls and photos it is amazing how she is coming on. She lights up the screen.

She has also mastered "cute".
With her "Nanoo" that cousin, Mr E chose

With one of her first Japanese story books

No problems Mum and Dad. You carry on and I'll have a read

Miss E is taking her parents on a trip to Japan to meet her other grandparents. No doubt they will be totally smitten as we are.

Have a great trip Miss E. Look after your parents and enjoy Japan.

See you when you get back xx
