On the 19th we drove to Kent to visit with RM and MissE

We found all in good form and had a great time. Miss E is very smiley and happy and does like being up at head height with her Dad. It's great to see them as a family now and so happy. She is absolutely lovely and will provide me with some great photographic opportunities, like her cousin. Looking forward to getting some photos of her in natural light and outside - I'm gonna need a bigger memory card.

It was a cuddly kind of visit and some serious Nanny time, who also got a chance for feeding.
Miss E is now on solids and has a mix of Japanese Rice and Vegetables which she seems to love.

2 Smilers

Yea! Time for lunch. This Nanny person seems capable

In between the rice and the veg she has some water on a spoon. A happy girl.

Mum Dad and Miss E are a happy family - wonderful to see

20th. 9.05 am Grandchild count goes up to 3! Miss I arrived.

A beautiful daughter for C&D and a little sister for Mr E - for some reason he associates this with a new BMX.....and also, of course another cousin for Miss E.

We took and then picked up Mr E from pre school and took him in to see everyone at the hospital.

Big joy and smiles all round as the family got together. Mr E went in first and then invited us in to join them.

She's tiny. Big smiles.
Thinks about mentioning BMX, but waits a while

Ivy had got Mr E  a bag of delights that he played with for hours. BMX later..

Tue 21st

Just arrived home

Too young for chips

The boys get ready for an Ivy walk

I'm keeping my eyes closed

Scout party

Main party

After they got back, there was a big bang and the front tyre blew, taking the wheel with it. Later, whilst I was cooking there was another bang....and another tyre blew.

A few photos of Mr E now

Pulling the hose back whilst Nanny waters

I thought this was going to be interesting - Mr E had picked up a super soaker and was walking quietly up behind Nanny. Turned out is was just to help with watering...such potential for a great photo....

Picking and eating Rocket.

A very Grandkiddy few days. We feel very blessed to have these wonders in our lives.

Remembering also Pat Thurley. A very special lady, that we said goodbye to today. Rest well Pat, you are much missed, but well remembered.

In Mid May we had a lovely visit with R&M. It has been a hectic trip for them fitting in SW and the family, Greece and then us.

P&M had booked a textile treasures look around at Chatsworth and had a very enjoyable time with some of the conservators and looking over some of the textiles and the work that they do.  No photos from in the tour, I'm afraid, but here are the rest. It was nice for the girls to share some time with a topic they both love.

R and I took the air and had a walk along the river. It was a beautiful day for a walk and hearing the murmer of the water.

It was also fun walking through the sheep and lambs, stopping for the odd chat with them.

R had predicted ( correctly ) that the girls would be late meeting with us, but we enjoyed a drink and a sit down in the stables yard and a bite to eat, after they had finished their morning.

Two sisters had visited this house from Australia, and stood by this fountain, within a month

The them at the moment is "Make yourself comfortable and so there are many chairs and seats to try.
This one is a block of coal.

Quick chat over a "Grinling"

Walking through R and I lost the girls for a while. Backtracking we found that they were discussing .....textiles
Having a rest in a canvas

On the Wednesday we visited Dunham Massey, which is a place that P&I visit quite frequently for walks in the Deer Park.
They have an exhibition on, which recreates part of the house as it was during the first World War - it became a hospital for a period of time. It's an excellent exhibition, which is also up for a prestigious award this year. As well as using static display, with audio visual support, they have actors that depict Nurses and Soldier patients. You can't interact with them, because they "are living in a different time"

We also had a look around the house and kitchens. This is one big Aga! Coal fired as well.

An early evening stroll in the garden

Think that Ros might have liked this....

We had a great time, as usual.
When we next meet our Grandparentedness will have increased by 1, Woo Hoo.
