Well, the 911SC Sport has gone to a good home with an ex colleague. He now runs a garage and bodyshop and so will be able to give her the attention that she needs and deserves. Never intended to be a car for life....but that was a great year and 1000 miles.  I can still hear that air cooled howl.
30 years old this year and an icon of her time. We will miss this
Sigh

The August Bank Holiday also saw the annual Gold Cup Meeting at Oulton. Pat and I had a picnic there on the Sunday and then I popped back on the Monday for some more photos
These big single seaters race in F5000. Looooovely noise

A lovely old 500...or a few

Had a chat with this great guy who used to race them in their day

Giving Dad some pre race advice

John Cleland - a well known BTCC driver from his day. He can still pedal the metal

Helping Dad prep the car

 The Spitfire Air Display

Not all race cars were small

I had one of these for my first car

Love old Race Anglias. We had upgraded to one of these when we bought our first house.

Had one of these as well. The entertainment was a small Tape deck behind the seats...belting out the Who.
The screen washer was a washing up liquid bottle held out of the window
 I need to be straight
 Getting there
 Made it
 Parking wardens were quite strict....
Our TR club display was in a very "convenient" location

Lovely E Type

 Racing TR3A

 Nice..

I cannot believe that I made this basic photographers error. I explain it away by saying that I have claimed Pat for the British Empire....
 Pat is the better photographer..
