A week after R&M's visit, we were back at Chatsworth for the Queens visit. It was one of P's ( and mine, 'cos I never had ) ambitions to see the Queen again ( last time was a fleeting view when she visited the village where we lived in Scotland). We were surprised at the number of people there and every car was given at least 1 flag to wave......so we did.

I claim this spot for Great Britain ( Will these flags become collectable?? ). Check back after September

Nice Motor - Made in Crewe

A good viewpoint was found right by the road

After having a snack ( we weren't invited to the luncheon ) we took up positions for the departure

Much Royal conversation

There is always someone with a flag on a long stick.....still, you can find them in a crowd

In by car, out by helicopter

Yes, more flag waving

When HMQ is in the house, the Royal Standard is flown and taken down as she departs

We also had a good walk through the (surprisingly) empty gardens

PArt of the exhibition for Beyond Limits, being prepared

View over to Edensor Church

One of the garden scupltures

Empty Gardens. STill there wasn't any queue for an excellent ice cream

A grand day out,
