Pat went down to Edsit on Friday, whilst C&D went to see The Cure at the Albert Hall -  treat for Cath from Davey for her birthday.
I went down on Sunday, to join Pat, whilst C&D went off to Paris for a couple of days R&R.

On the Monday we went to see Pats sister - Anne and Ray and stayed for lunch ( Thanks Ray ) and then we popped down to See Dad in Crowstone Manor. Both Dad and Ed were well behaved and had a good time checking each other over. Dad was pretty good, although he is getting over another chest infection.

Tuesday was a "Nanny and Grandad day", as Ed called it. That means he doesn't go to pre school. We had a great day and went for a mooch around his new manor. The Library is excellent and, as usual, he sought out books on London. He can then give a lecture to anyone around on Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, St Pauls, Thames Barrier etc etc.

Had to laugh at the story of going through Bow in a taxi on Friday when Ed pipes up with "There's Bow Church". Guess he is planning to be Mayor of London one day.

early play on Monday.

Quit the photos Grandad

A favourite game is wrapping ( or rather Nanny wrapping ) presents to himself. Below you can see him hiding one for a treasure hunt

No wrapping paper, so it's a mix of Newspaper and Tissue

Just wrapped and so to be unwrapped - it's obvious, but it's Big Ben

We are all surprised for the umpteenth time. This can go on for a long time.....we did get dressed later on.

With Dad at the home. Ed showing him......well you knew it would be

on Tuesday, after the Library ( and present wrapping ), we had a picsnack in the garden.

Sausage Roll - I had warmed them up but then he had a nap.
When he picked it up, he told me that "at pre school, they are served hot"

The hair is back

Just me playing with the camera. The white blobs behind are aerials

Big Ben again. He asked me to build St Pauls from blocks. I said that would be hard for the dome, so he told me " you just use your imagination".

and then Mummy and Daddy are back, bearing gifts

Yeah, Yeah. Cutlery with letters on. You went Paris and I got cutlery!
Anything else?

 Whats that?
 Daddy is blowing in it
Taking more puff than he thought
 Good fun though

 Throwing the World at Daddy
Got the whole world in his hands, or rather Le Monde, as it was from Paris

  2. Ahh G(r)andad, what a lovely time for you all. Loved the photographs and E's insightful comments. Everything is so clear in their minds! I find myself thinking why did I not think of that?
A rainy Friday morning here, a real treat for us. Rob

  4. Gorgeous photos of Ed Mal. The one of him (in focus) with Big Ben in close up is a cracker. Thank you for the update. Sounds like everyone enjoyed a wonderful (long) weekend. Lucky Ed has a beautiful room too. I hope Pat really enjoys her days without the demands of paid work from now on. Judy P
